The DAAD has representations of many different types in Spain, thus expanding the network of cosmopolitan structures on the ground. In doing so, we are pursuing the goal of informing staff in Spain personally and directly about the German university and research locations, and of supporting students, researchers, and institutions in exchanging ideas and establishing cooperations with Germany. The information center in Madrid is also the first point of contact for information about the Spanish university system. Through our network of DAAD Lektors, DAAD language assistants, as well as local Lektors at 27 Spanish universities, the DAAD promotes German as a scientific language.
